This feature is typically only available to document owners. However, the document owner can allow commenters this ability on the "Advanced Features" page during the document uploading process.

  1. Go to NowComment in your UVaCollab site
  2. Click Browse Documents on
    • Find this link in the bottom right corner of the page
    • A list of documents in your class group will appear on
  3. Hover over "Options" on the document to which you want to add material
    • A drop-down menu will unfold
  4. Click Add to Document
    • Options for uploading different types of documents will appear
  5. Click the type of document you want to add
  6. Type a reason for adding the material in the "Reason for adding" field
  7. Click Upload
    • A message will appear confirming the status of your upload
  8. Click view it now
    • Find this link at the end of the confirmation message
    • The document page to which you added content will appear
  9. Click the + sign at the top of the page to see the new content and the date on which it appeared
