  1. Go to NowComment in your UVaCollab site
  2. Click Browse Documents on
    • Find this link in the bottom right of the "Documents" box
    • A list of documents in your class group will open on
  3. Click the Upload Document tab in the blue navigation bar
    • Options for uploading different types of documents will appear
  4. Click Microsoft Word or Excel
    • A dialog box will open, showing files on your computer
  5. Choose and open the file you want to upload
    • The file name will appear in the "Document Title" field
  6. To change the document’s title, type into the “Document Title” field
  7. To share your document with a group, check the box "Add to group?"
    • Note that this checkbox is selected automatically
    • If you don't want to add your document to your class group, uncheck this box
  8. Click Upload at the bottom of the page
    • A message will appear displaying the status of the upload
  9. Review your document on the "Preview" page
  10. Click Save and Continue
  11. Select features for your document from the “Advanced Features” page
    • To learn more about a field, hover over the (info) information icon next to it
  12. Click Continue at the bottom of the page
  13. If you added advanced features in step 11, fill in the corresponding fields
  14. Click Finish
    •  Your document will appear online
    • Your new NowComment document should match your Word document
