1. Log in to Zotero
  2. Click the Groups tab in the top menu bar
    • The "Zotero Groups" page will open
  3. Click Create a New Group
    • You are automatically the group's owner
    • The "Create a New Group" page will open
  4. Type in a name for the group in the "Group Name" section
  5. Choose the visibility settings for the group
  6. Click Create Group at the bottom of the page
    • The "Settings" page for the new group will open
  7. Check the group visibility settings in the "Group Type" section
    • The visibility settings you chose in step 5 should be selected automatically
  8. Choose who can view your group's library in your "Library Reading" section
  9. Choose who can manage your group's library in the "Library Editing" section
  10. Choose who can manage files in your group's library in the "File Editing" section
  11. Click Save Settings at the bottom of the page
    • A message will appear confirming the save
